Philippine Embassy to Lao PDR & SCK Group donate a HomeBiogas system to the Lao Disabled Women’s Development Center


The Philippine Embassy in Vientiane, Laos, with support from the SCK Group, formally handed over a 7.0 Home Biogas System to the Lao Disabled Women’s Development Center (LDWDC) on 11th of September 2020. The handover ceremony was attended by Her Excellency Belinda M. Ante, the Philippine Ambassador to the Lao PDR, and embassy officials, LDWDC Director Chanpheng Sivila and members of the LDWDC, as well as representatives from SCK Group Laos.

During the handover ceremony, LDWDC Director Chanpheng Sivila expressed her appreciation to the Philippine Embassy in Vientiane and to SCK Group for donating the Home Biogas system. This system will allow the center to reduce costs by purchasing less coal each month, while also providing the center with an organic liquid fertilizer that can be used in their gardens to grow fruits and vegetables, thereby reducing their food costs and producing a high quality organic food product for the staff and students of the LDWDC.
